UCSC: Medical Specialties

Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción is a Catholic higher educational institution, member of the Council of Rectors of the Chilean Universities. With a recognized public vocation and notable ethical and social distinction, the university is successor to the Talcahuano campus of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, whose origins go back to the beginning of the 1970s. UCSC is located in the Biobío Region, which is approximately 500 kilometers south of Santiago. It is the second most important Region in the country regarding population, as well as industrial and productive development.

UCSC has two university campuses in the city of Concepción, while its Technological Institute has branches in the three provinces of the Biobio Region, as well as in one province of the Ñuble Region. With its research activities and teaching, UCSC responds to the local and national reality.
