UV: PhD Programs

Universidad de Valparaíso was founded in 1981, based on the largest campus of Universidad de Chile in regions. It is a state higher education institution, independent and accredited, with an academic tradition that dates back to 1911.

This institution develops teaching, research and outreach activities through its 10 Faculties, 41 undergraduate programs, 38 graduate programs, 37 health and dentistry specializations, and 19 research centres.

With a total enrolment of 15,500 undergraduate and 1,500 graduate students, Universidad de Valparaíso develops its academic mission at the highest level of excellence, in order to meet the interests and needs of Chile and Valparaíso Region.

Universidad de Valparaíso aims towards training professionals and citizens with responsibility and commitment to their community, who take an active role in the development of an open society, while staying tolerant, pluralist and respectful of the liberties and rights of each individual.
